Sad, but it's the truth!
Most people don't care or take it to heart when they hear stories of girls who have been taken advantage of. You won't feel half the hurt the victim feels, you won't cry half the tears she cries or have half the suicidal thoughts she has!
But quick question...
What if Your New born DAUGHTER WAS RAPE?
Your NEWLY WEDDED WIFE whom you haven't felt her warmth?
Better still your MOTHER?
Your infant SON?
Or your NIECE who you love as your own??
Please take a moment and think about that.
Is reality sinking in??
it's time society stop being so selfish, and eliminate the idea of "if it's not me or someone I love, I don't care that much".

All these words are medicinal and can play a huge role in bringing healing to a hurt soul. Doctors can prescribe drugs , therapy, rehab..etc but I've come to find healing in theses word. Words that became verbs and shared with me by my sisters. There is power in sisterhood and love that's truly unexplainable. God is placed at the top because it's faith that keeps one going in time of pain and anguish. JUST STAND creates a atmosphere of sisterhood where a victim can feel apart of an unbreakable bond. A place where u can relate to others and cry the same tears as your sisters. So we say to all victims and survivors of sexual and domestic violence... "You are Not Alone".
-God is love
This right here is a perfect example of what JUST STAND is Not about! It's absolutely heart breaking to see, but it's the reality of many rape cases. Sometimes having the courage to stand for something make a big difference. A mother sits on the chair as she lets her husband rape her child. A case like this could be two things. Either the parent herself is a victim of domestic violence, so she's scared (which still doesn't justify her nonchalant attitude) or she simply chooses to let it happen because she "loves her man". Either case is unacceptable and it's time we start breaking the cycle of abuse.
It's evident that sexual crimes against children WILL NOT STOP until someone makes a brave and conscious decision to JUST STAND! So I urge all to take a Stand with me as we reduces cases of child abuse in our communities.
Sexual violence = Silence
We'll not anymore! For so long society's greatest secret has been hidden and tucked under years and centries or helpless cries. These women have been ostracize from society, their communities, even their families. The forbidden talk of sexual violence will be exploited and all ignorance of it will be shattered if it's the last thing I do. I absolutely love this image. It's speaks for itself. It's so sad to know how many victims fear speaking up and out about their personal stories because of what their perpetrators might do to them. It's a real fear like any other that I used to know very well. Because I was that girl! It's took a long time coming... And I still have a long way to go... Still I give God the glory for seeing me THROUGH IT ALL.
